1. Attitude
How far you go in life leans heavily on your attitude, so let it not be weak. Philippians 2:5 says that your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. Jesus was positive, loving, generous and committed to his purpose. Zig Zigler said “Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.” Your attitude can make all the difference for your success in education, career, business or relationships.

2. Wisdom
Your purpose cannot be realized without a good dose of wisdom. Dr. Mike Murdoch said, “You will only be remembered for two things: the problems you solve or the ones you create”. What solutions do you offer at work, in business or anywhere else? James 1:5 says, “If anyone lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”

3. Excellence
The pursuit of excellence is critical in becoming your best. Steve Jobs said, “Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren’t used to an environment where excellence is expected.” Be that person who takes achievements to the next level in your church, company, organization or office. Philippians 4:8 advises that you should undertake things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

4. Integrity
If you do not cling to integrity, you risk falling from the throne of grace. Proverbs 11:3 says, “The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.” According to Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, “It takes less time to do a thing right than to explain why you did it wrong.” Let your goal be to do the right thing and the result will speak for itself.

5. Vision
Have a clear vision and remember that there are no short cuts to your destiny. Habakkuk 2:3 says that the vision is for an appointed time and though it tarries, wait for it, as it will come to pass. “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision,” cautions Helen Keller. If an opportunity comes your way, will you see it? Connect it to your vision and purpose in life.

6. Giving
To realize your purpose, be generous toward good initiatives, pay tithe and share transformational ideas. Luke 6:38 advises giving and preparing to receive, “A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over”. Your time or resources are good investments. Warren Buffet and Bill Gates are some of the wealthiest people on earth. Moreover, they are also some of the most generous.

7. Obedience
When God asked Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, he obeyed. What does the Word of God say and you are not obeying? Isaiah 1:19 says, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.” Teresa Avila echoes, “I know the power obedience has of making things easy which seem impossible.” Follow rules and obey authority so that your train of destiny does not derail.

8. Faith
You cannot have the courage to pursue your dream, nor the tenacity to sustain it, if you have no faith. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” Determine what you need to do in life, trust God and proceed with caution. Jesus said in Matthew 17:20 that even very little faith can move mountains.

9. Favour
As a child of God, favour is a part of your inheritance. Weave it in your prayers, expectations, thanksgiving and praise. Joel Osteen says, “Receive His Word as truth and hold it in your heart, because He has already given His favour and blessing to you!” According to Proverbs 12:2, “A good man obtains favour of the Lord, but a man of wicked intentions will He condemn.” Give favour to others as well.

10. Salvation
To get the full blessing of God, surrender your destiny to God. Aurelius Augustinus said, “He who created us without our help, will not save us without our consent.” Take a step of faith and commit your life to Christ. Maintain a lifestyle of prayer, worship, praise, gratitude as well as love for God and the people around you. Pursue a life of righteousness and God will direct your path.
